Wellbeing is a skill that can be learned.
Whether looking for relief from anxiety, depression, or long-standing feelings of simply being stuck, individual therapy is a gift to oneself--particularly when it is rooted in a mindfulness approach.
Healing is not merely a return to where we were at one time, but a step toward transcending the old self.
For any couple--married or not, the journey can be rocky, tumultuous, or stagnant. But that doesn't mean there isn't hope and possibility as we address current circumstances and intend a path forward to a healthier relationship. Based in an understanding of mindfully befriending our individual selves, couples counseling paves the way for two whole beings to be joined in ever-expanding awareness.
Growing up was never easy in any age, but our current culture makes it harder than ever to be young while struggling to know oneself. Chronic stress can seem to be a forgone conclusion when in fact it does not have to be. As science is now showing us, self-directed neuroplasticity is the basis for more than just recovery. With understanding and practice, we don't merely survive, we thrive and transcend what was.
Moving into a new phase of your journey can be overwhelming. Moving into a new phase of your journey can be overwhelming. Whether adjusting to the responsibilities that come with young children, navigating boundaries with adult children, caregiving for an elderly parent, or grieving the loss of a loved one, most of us will experience a good deal of stress. There's no benefit to be had by going it alone on sheer stoicism...this often leads to maladaptive coping and added problems.
